West Coast Fine Art was fortunate enough to be chosen by Brion Design as the art provider for the lobby of Cornerstone Church's newly opened facilities in National City. The project was a remodel of the former Sweetwater Theatres.
Below is a section from the San Diego Daily Transcript's article on the project from October 12, 2007:
"The work includes conversion of a 26,000-square-foot multiplex theater into a 1,500-seat sanctuary/ performing arts center with a professional quality stage and green room. Construction also includes the addition of a second story with several classrooms and pre-school facilities."
All of the art was carefully chosen by the professionals at Brion and securely installed by Joel Kmak of JDK Art Installation.
You can read West Coast Fine Art Principle Josh Whalen's comments about the project below:
"I would have to say that my favorite pieces from this project were the 8 foot by 9 foot cross(3 panels) in the entry way and the and 10 foot by 5 foot (5 panels) wave on the second floor behind the fountain. I am always impressed to see how great our gallery-wrapped canvas images turn out at any size, but it's a bit of a different feeling when you see them so incredibly large... they're very powerful."
